As we approach the end of the year it’s a good time to mention a number of HDR students from the group who completed their MPhil and PhD programs this year.
Joe Milne and Josephine Smernik both completed their MPhil, graduating in September.
Afshin Karami, co-supervised by Chris, completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering. Afshin’s thesis was entitled: Lanthanide doped upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) for biomedical applications, and he recieved a Dean’s Commendation for Thesis Excellence.
And finally, Pol Gimeno i Fonquernie submitted his revised PhD thesis just this week, after receiving fantastic examiner reports!
